Sam and I are so fortunate to get to travel to Europe for our honeymoon!! Whoo Hoo! We went back and forth on "must see places" and "places that are way too expensive for us to visit" and we have decided to visit Switzerland and Italy. I am almost more excited about traveling then our wedding....ALMOST. They are truthfully tied for first place. Here is a mini itinerary of the main cities we will visit. If anyone has any recommendations on places to eat, stay or must see places please let us know.
We will be leaving immediately following our wedding and flying into Zurich, Switzerland.
We will then take a train from Zurich to Interlaken, Switzerland. The first day we plan on Canyoning in the Alps. What an adventure...
The second day we plan on hang gliding over the lakes.
Then we will take another train to Zermatt, Switzerland for a day of skiing. Yes it will be May when we are there but supposedly you can summer ski on the glaciers. What!
We will take an overnight train from Switzerland to Florence, Itlay. We really wanted to visit Venice, Italy...expecially for the romance but we have decided visiting Florence was our best bet.
We are taking a full day to visit Tuscany and drink tons of wine and eat tons of Italian Food. Jealous?
We will take our final train to Rome, Italy where we will spend our last 2-3 days.
I cannot be more excited for our Honeymoon. Not many people can say they have visited Europe, gone skiing in the Alps, drank wine in Tuscany and thrown coins into the Trevi Fountain for GOOD LUCK!
