Gosh this year has flown by. Sam and I have been so busy and it seems never ending. But we wouldn't trade it for the world. A couple weekends ago we headed to Athens for a day on the Broad River. We kayaked for about 4 hours and then headed downtown for Athfest. We got to enjoy some of our favorite restaurants and bars. And of course, we had a slice of white chocolate cheesecake from Last Resort Grill. Couldn't leave Athens without it.
This past weekend we headed to Lake Burton for the Fireworks. Since the 4th fell on a Wednesday, the fireworks were Saturday here at the lake. The weather was perfect (on the lake where you could easily jump in) but at the farm, it was a mere 104 degrees most of the day. Completely awful. The fireworks were some of the best we have seen on the lake. Can't wait for next year!!
HAPPY SUMMER!! Football season is just around the corner.
